Patent and trademark agents in British Columbia
Each one's agent licence is confirmed against their regulator's own public register.
A patent agent prepares patent applications and argues them through to a granted patent, and a trademark agent does the same for trademarks. Both are licensed by the College of Patent Agents and Trademark Agents, which is a separate licence from a call to the bar: many agents are not lawyers, and most lawyers are not agents.
